In 2021, Modega adopted the philosophy of responsible innovation. This means creating a transparent, eco-centric strategy around all aspects of corporate business, manufacturing and final products. We are embedding these values strongly in Modega’s DNA and they constitute the guidelines adopted by the company in its journey towards a more responsible approach to smart design and manufacturing.
Our four pillars : There are four key principles of this philosophy.
- Raw materials.
- Traceability.
- Analysis of production processes and other areas of our activity.
- Certifications.
RAW MATERIALS
We want to work with people who actively protect land, take good care of the animals, and make sure that people are treated fairly and have good working conditions. This vision creates long-term value. So we are making targeted choices on the origin of raw materials. Selection of the natural, biodegradable and renewable raw materials.Non-mulesed wool
TRACEABILITY
A completely traceable supply chain at all times. Tracing the origin, knowing where the materials come from, and being able to guarantee the wellbeing of the animals and the land-management policies are conditions that have become vitally important for our B2B customers.ANALYSIS OF PRODUCTION AND OTHER AREAS OF OUR BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
Through innovative interventions such as the efficiency of existing systems, the energy requalification of the factory, the installation of photovoltaic system, the adaption of LED lighting, installation of inverters on all production lines and renewing all factory vehicle fleet with EVs, we aim to achieve the below goals;- 55 % of the energy needed is provided from renewable sources.
