Modega was founded in 1989 in Istanbul.
From the beginning, the company was positioned to service European and American customers accustomed to sourcing high quality knitwear products mainly from Italy.
Over the years, without losing the main focus on quality, the management transformed the company into a niche industrial organization in terms of capital assets and technology. Now, more than three decades later, the experience, the infrastructure and the highly skilled personnel enable the company to satisfactorily service many internationally recognized clothing brands.
100 % in-house production enables the company to pay utmost attention to quality, and allows small, flexible and fast production runs which are becoming key for today’s luxury goods market.
Modega imports 90 % of the yarns that it uses in production from top level Italian and Chinese mills, and applies the latest knitting technology from Japanese machinery makers to produce highest quality knitted goods.
Today, the knitwear factory occupies an area of 4.000 m2 with 85 employees at a very convenient central Istanbul location which provides easy access for its customers.
Modega exports 100 % of its production to the UK, United States, and western European markets.
